Interoperability Framework

國際圖像互通架構（英語：International Image Interoperability Framework，簡寫IIIF）定義了幾種應用程式編程介面，從而提供了一種在網路上描述和提供圖像的標準化方法以及關於結構化圖像的「基於表示的元資料」（即結構元資料）。如果持有藝術品、書籍、報紙、手稿、地圖、捲軸、單頁收藏和檔案材料的機構為其內容提供IIIF端點，則可以用任何相容IIIF的檢視器或應用程式來消費和顯示圖像及其結構和表示的元資料。

有許多數位化計劃會通過使用特殊的檢視器應用，來把自己的某些收藏品內容呈現到網際網路上，但這些不同的館藏通常不能相互操作。這會導致終端使用者或機構無法選擇他們想要的檢視器來消費數位化的材料。IIIF旨在為客戶端和伺服器端培養共享的技術，以實現跨儲存庫的互操作性，並促進相容的伺服器和檢視器應用程式的市場。
