Harvard-Yenching Library holds rare books, archival materials, manuscripts, photos, scrolls, rubbings, and maps in many languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Manchu, Mongolian, Tibetan, and Naxi.

Many of our special collections have been digitized and can be viewed in CURIOSity and HOLLIS Images. Our rare and special collection materials are also available for viewing in our reading room. Please request items and make a reading room appointment at least 24 hours in advance of your visit.
